Moisture moves only from the inner layer to the outer layer.
The hydrophobic (hates water) inner layer, which touches your skin, breaks the surface tension of your sweat, humidity, sneeze, cough, and saliva and moves it away from you to the outside layer. This polymer layer is also self extinguishing. Your skin stays comfortably cool and dry while protecting others. Because bacteria needs moisture to grow, fabric and skin are odor free. The inside will stay dry and not cling to your skin.
Moisture does NOT move from the outer layer to the inner layer.
Moist contaminants are absorbed and dry particles are filtered in the hydrophilic (loves water) outer layer and STOP before the inner layer and do not touch your skin. The mask is protecting you.
